THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH. This Mural in Hanover College,Indiana USA is the first of a series of Murals on Freedom of Speech. It was inspired by The Bogside Artist's experiences with attempts to restrict free speech,most recentlyencountered on a visit to China. The Mural makes a bold statement about the dangers of not all ......owingfreedom of speech. Restricting people's rights to express their ideas leads to a society blinded to human rights violations by governments andthe abuses of human liberties.It is fitting that the Mural is hanging in the Hanover College Library where Knowledge and freedom of thought and expression are valued as a Fundamental human right.
